Innovative UK chocolatier Montezuma's is launching a new dairy-free, milk chocolate alternative range, along with a seasonal advent calendar in the run up to Christmas.
The range is organic and vegan compatible and consists of two bars: Like No Udder and Like No Udder with Sweet Orange. Montezuma's says its team worked to ‘create a delicious milk chocolate alternative using rice powder instead of cows’ milk to provide the creamy taste needed.’
The result is an organic and dairy free bar with a milk chocolate taste, ideal for vegans or those with food allergies or intolerances.
Growing demand
Montezuma's has seen a growing demand for its dairy free ranges with dark chocolate now accounting for more than half of the sales of its popular Giant Chocolate Buttons bags. In addition, 90% of the company's chocolate bar sales now come from its dark chocolate options.
Helen Pattinson, Montezuma's co-founder said: "In recent years we have seen more and more interest in our dairy free dark chocolate and vegan ranges, so it made complete sense to create a delicious dairy free milk chocolate alternative. We are so excited about the result - it's a real treat for those craving a milk chocolate taste without the dairy. I'm particularly pleased that we can offer a great alternative for lots of our customers who are keen not to miss out on their chocolate advent calendar, and who prefer a milk chocolate taste."
Like No Udder bars, which will be available from October, with an RRP of £2.99 ($3.80). The advent calendars, also available from October, are RRP £8.99 ($11.44). The range will be available through Montezuma's UK shops and outlets, as well as its website.
