Guittard’s couverture range – offering single origin, blends, Fair Trade and organic chocolate – was launched in the UK last year. It is now bought by some of the country’s top bakers, chocolatiers and restaurants including paul.a.young fine chocolates, Crosstown Doughnuts and Frog by Adam Handling.
Guittard claimed it was the oldest continuously family-owned and operated chocolate-making business in the US, having been founded in San Francisco in 1868.
HB Ingredients is the largest independent chocolate couverture distributor in Europe. Guittard said HB ingredients was “perfectly placed” to help scale its distribution as it has built a reputation for stocking a vast range of chocolate products from all over the world.

Guittard Chocolate Company is a founding member of the World Cocoa Foundation. It is licensed by Fair Trade USA and sources cocoa beans that are Rainforest Alliance Certified for sustainability.
