Firm in meltdown after distinctive promotional vehicle is stolen from outside its HQ.

Hotel Chocolat, one of the UK’s most successful luxury chocolate brands, is still searching for its van after it was stolen from outside the company's HQ in the village of Royston, Hertfordshire, last week.

The distinctive-looking vehicle, which was featured in a recent BBC documentary, is used at events to sell ice cream, confectionery and hot drinks.

Hotel Chocolat has started a #Findthechocmobile hashtag and is asking the public for help.

A press spokesperson told ConfectioneryNews, “any information leading to the recovery of our Chocmobile will be rewarded. Find it, and we’ll invite you into our top secret Inventing Room, where all the magic happens. And you'll receive five years subscription to our Monthly Tasting Club.”

Local police said in a statement: "CCTV spotted offenders who smashed a window and gained entry to the vehicle behind the back of Mint House before stealing it. Three males were spotted at the scene of the crime. If you have any information that could help with our investigation, please dial 101, quoting 41/69223/19.”
