Whitakers Chocolates has made a substantial donation to its local hospital staff in Airedale, Yorkshire to help alleviate the pressure on National Health Service (NHS) staff dealing with COVID-19.

Owners William and Gemma Whitaker said they wanted to give back to their community, knowing the pressure the NHS was under right now.

Managing director William Whitaker said; “It’s important in these challenging times that we all pull together and do whatever we can, so if donating our chocolate puts a smile on someone’s face or gives a much needed energy boost that’s our aim achieved.”

Over the coming weeks, Whitakers Chocolates said it plans to continue to donate its chocolates to local charities and food banks to “help lift spirits and to give people the chance to enjoy chocolate who wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford to in these current circumstances”.
