Ferrara aims to win hearts and minds this Valentine’s season with new treats and online innovations
With love in the air and Valentine’s Day right around the corner, sugar confectionery and seasonal leader Ferrara is helping chocolate lovers brighten up their lives and put a spring in their step with new seasonal innovations from popular brands including BRACH’S, Trolli, NERDS and Mother’s Cookies - as well free product product giveaways.
In our video interview, Mariah Havens, Director of Seasonal Confections at Ferrara Candy Company, said Valentine’s Day, along with Halloween, Christmas and Easter, is incredibly important to the company.
With its BRACH’S brand, Ferrara is the leader in conversation hearts and Havens said this year it is also introducing Wisecracks into the mix to appeal more to the Gen-Z and Millennial demographic with witty sayings like “Nope” and “4 Never,” which join BRACH’S Tiny Conversation Hearts and other iconic favourites this season.
“Trends that we saw coming out of Halloween and Christmas not only give us optimism in terms of year-on-year growth with new innovation and new interactive ways to make sure the seasons are still being brought to life,” said Havens.
Confectionery has always been a recession-proof business but it has also proved to be ‘pandemic proof’, she said.
“People are already trying to bring those small moments of joy to their neighbourhood, to their family, and we are excited not only to have our classic offerings but innovations for virtual celebrations.”
Candy lovers can now access FerraraLoveLanguages.com and answer a series of sweet questions to find their confectionery soulmate in one of six Ferrara candy and cookie treats.

With each completion securing an entry to win, Valentines can share their swoon-worthy candy match with the Special someone of their choice in the form of a free candygram delivered to their door.
The brand has a limited run of 500 samples each and the quiz will close on Monday, 8 February at 11:59 PM ET.
BRACH’S is also launching an exclusive Instagram lens that allows users to play their inner cupid and shoot a virtual arrow that unveils a secret message to those around them.
