The London-based confectionery brand adds to existing vegan gourmet sweets range with fierce new flavour.

The cheeky appeal of cherry has been prevalent in popular culture for some time, through its successful migration into the fashion and beauty worlds via the high street and catwalk (think Tom Ford and Anya Hindmarch).

With the cherry hitting cult sartorial status, celebrities and brands alike are all influenced by its cheeky appeal, says Candy Kittens.

Made with real cherry juice and using only natural flavours and colours, Very Cherry has been created following demand from the London-based brand's contemporary consumers for this particular bold, delicious and recognisable flavour.

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Candy Kittens, Edward Williams, says: “Our consumers have been asking us to create a cherry flavour for years, so we’re really excited to be answering this demand with a new addition to our vegan range. Very Cherry is bold and fun and, most importantly, really delivers on flavour - something that our consumers have come to expect of the brand thanks to the use of at least 10% fruit juice in every sweet.”

Available in single flavour bags (knowing that fans have their firm favourites), Very Cherry features the iconic cat face shaped sweets that have become synonymous with the gourmet sweets brand.

With consumer demand for plant-based snacking on the rise globally, Candy Kittens vegan sweets are all free from gelatine, palm oil and carnauba wax. Market growth for the category increased by 8.9% in 2019 alone according to the company, and is set to more than double by the end of 2028.

Candy Kittens popularity continues to soar globally following a significant international expansion as the London firm supercharged its US business, launching into 3,899 Walmart stores along the East, Central and West coasts in September 2020. Building on the brands listings with high-end US retailers including Barnes & Noble and Bloomingdales, the Walmart partnership gives Candy Kittens over 10,000 additional points of distribution.

Available in snacking and sharing bags (125g and 145g respectively), Very Cherry is Candy Kittens sixth flavour to join the best-selling range that includes Wild Strawberry, Sour Watermelon and Tropical Mango.
