The children-friendly brand said it is putting sustainability at its core, aligning with consumer needs for sustainably sourced confectionery.

Chocolate manufacturer Kinnerton, one of the the first brands to offer character chocolate in the UK, has launched the Forest of Hope brand, a new eco-friendly, Fairtrade accredited chocolate range, expanding the confectionary market with surprise milk chocolate eggs for a new generation who care about the planet.

Forest of Hope’s range includes nine delicious milk chocolate, nut-free surprise eggs, each with a different animal from the Gola rainforest on its carton. The surprise eggs will also contain over 30 exciting challenge cards to collect, family activity games to complete and educational facts to enable children to learn more about the animals that live in the forest.

This is not only a tasty treat with fun activities, it enables kids to open up and wonder about the rainforest, recycling and sustainable resourcing,” a spokesperson said.

The packaging is 100% recyclable and is also all utilised with additional activities and facts on the reverse of the carton.
