UK cocoa distributor Henley Bridge has claimed its new premium chocolate launch will have the industry in ‘meltdown’.

Republica del Cacao, “one of the most exciting high-end cacao product ranges to come out of South America​” is about to hit British shores this week with a range of ultra-premium fine cacao chocolate, made in Ecuador

The range, which includes six single origin and one blended chocolate, all of which are 100% traceable and sustainable, will be available exclusively from the Henley Bridge website​.

Republica del Cacao is the chocolate of choice for many of the world’s finest pastry chefs and chocolatiers - and this is the first time that it has been made available to professionals in the UK​.

Republica del Cacao has achieved the coveted B Corps certification, which is awarded to businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

A local brand with global impact, all the local ingredients are grown by independent farmers and small co-operatives in a unique equatorial climate, which provides the perfect conditions for growing cacao. The Local Ingredients Programme also includes a project to grow prized Panela (unrefined traditional organic sugar).
