Blommer Chocolate, one of the largest cocoa processors and ingredient chocolate suppliers in North America, has announced David Meggs is moving into the Chief Operating Officer role, and is one of three senior in-house appointments.

Meggs will lead the commercial team (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain) in addition to Operations of the company’s four North American production facilities.

The move will allow it to more closely align its commercial growth strategy with the supply side of the business.

Meggs joined Blommer in 2017 and has an extensive background in the food industry in various sales, business development, and engineering roles.

As part of the reshuffle, Blommer said it is promoting Colleen Ness to VP Sales & Marketing. Ness also joined the company in 2017 and brings a strong background of leadership roles in sales and customer-focused activities.

With more than 10 years working for Blommer, Melissa Tisoncik has been promoted to VP of Research & Development & QA. Tisoncik will also take on responsibility for Blommer’s Quality Assurance and Regulatory activities within the company.

Blommer Chocolate Company has more than 900 employees and five strategically located manufacturing facilities in North America and China.
