Lindt has launched three new vegan chocolate bars in the UK and Canada, a year after it entered the free-from market with its HELLO collection.

The new bars are made with oat milk and are available in three varieties (Original, Hazelnut, and Salted Caramel) in Canada and two varieties (Smooth and Hazelnut) in the UK.

The Swiss chocolatier said its new vegan products replaced dairy milk with gluten-free oat milk powder and almond paste.

Lindt introduced its first vegan milk chocolate line under its HELLO collection in 2021 in Germany and the UK, with three flavours, including Cookie, Salted Caramel, and Hazelnut all made with oat milk.

The new Lindt vegan bars are available in Lindt outlets across Canada and in supermarket chain Sainsbury’s and other grocery retailers in the UK.

Lindt is following an unstoppable trend among consumers for plant-based and vegan alternatives and many major chocolate companies are developing vegan milk chocolate that excludes dairy milk as an ingredient and using alternative ingredients such as oats, hazelnuts, and rice to create vegan milk chocolate.
