Nestlé’s iconic After Eight brand, established in York by Rowntree, turns 60 this year, and the popular mint chocolate thin is celebrating the landmark with a brand-new gifting box.

The After Eight Mint Collection (RRP £5) is a selection of premium chocolates, comprising five varieties:

  • Dark Peppermint & Orange Flavour Fondant – smooth orange and peppermint flavoured fondant coated in a rich layer of dark chocolate
  • Dark Chocolate & Peppermint – a soft, indulgent peppermint centre sandwiched between rich dark chocolate
  • Dark Peppermint Crisp – rich dark chocolate studded with crispy sugar pearls
  • Dark Peppermint Fondant – smooth peppermint fondant coated in rich dark chocolate
  • Milk peppermint truffle – a soft, indulgent peppermint centre sandwiched between milk chocolate

Debbie Bowen, Senior Brand Manager for After Eight, said: “After Eight has had a place at the nation’s dinner tables for sixty years now, and as we reach our landmark birthday, love for the brand remains as strong as ever.

“Fans have long been asking us for a more formal gifting box, and we are thrilled to be able to bring our brand new Mint Collection to the market this year. When we tested the collection with consumers, the response was incredible, so we’re confident it will be a huge hit with mint chocolate lovers everywhere!

“With five delectable varieties featuring both dark and milk chocolate, there really is something for everyone in this selection. It’s an all-star line-up that works as well for a summer barbeque as it does for a festive get together. We can’t wait to hear what people think!”

Beautifully packaged in an inlaid gifting box, the After Eight Mint Collection will launch as an exclusive in Tesco stores in the UK from the end of June, and in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide from September.
