Oonagh Simms, founder, The Marshmallowist, said the flavors support a growing trend of natural ingredients and spicy flavours as reported by ConfectioneryNews State of the Industry report.

The range is complimented by gold embossed gift boxes which contains six marshmallows.

Simms said she was the first company to launch a gourmet marshmallow brand in the UK and wants to remain true to that through its creativity.

I want the brand to be synonymous with progressiveness and I love how that’s reflected in the packaging and flavors,” she said.

The Marshmallowist is also launching a ‘revolving range’ each season with playful, bespoke flavors for the first time.

Limited edition combinations include; Tequila Lime & Chilli, Scorched Peach & Star Anise and Earl Grey & Butterfly Pea. As well as John Lewis, the products are available to buy in Harrod’s and Selfridges in London.

4 month shelf life

The sweets have a shelf life of four months and will be sold in a pack of six on a presentation tray.

The Marshmallowist was created by Simms in 2011, after training as a chocolatier in Paris.

She incorporated artisanal French methods with classic confectionery to create handmade experimental flavors to make soufflé marshmallows from fresh market fruits, organic herbs and boutique alcohol.
