pladis enlists Coca-Cola alum to head new Western Europe and Emerging Markets division

The McVitie’s owner has appointed Tim Brett as managing director for its recently formed business unit that combines its western Europe and emerging markets.

Brett comes aboard with over three decades of FMCG experience, most recently with the Coca-Cola Company, with four years as president of its Western Europe division.

He boasts extensive international experience, having lived and worked in the UK, Romania, Hungary, Poland and Japan. Prior to Coca-Cola, Bree worked for the Guinness/United Distillers and Walkers (PepsiCo).

Untapped potential

The announcement follows pladis’ decision to combine the activities of the two regions into one unit in order to ‘maximise on shared opportunities’.

“I am excited to join pladis at such a pivotal time,”​ said Brett.

“The company’s iconic brands have a wealth of potential in this market, and I look forward to working with the team to introduce new and beloved brands to consumers across the region.”

Under the company’s realignment, Suryakant Pandey has been assigned to head the new unit responsible for the Middle East, North Africa and India.
