Krispy Kreme and Quality Street have teamed up to turn two iconic chocolates into irresistible festive doughnuts. Is this a new collaborative trend?

Festive confectionery favourite Quality Street has teamed up with Krispy Kreme to create two new flavours of doughnut.

Based on the brand’s iconic Purple One and Caramel Swirl, the new creations are available in Krispy Kreme shops and online.

The Purple One: A purple doughnut, filled with caramel cream and chocolate hazelnut filling, and finished with a caramel icing swirl with crunchy hazelnut nibs on top.

The Caramel Swirl: Filled with caramel cream, and topped with a chocolate glaze, a drizzle of golden caramel, and a sprinkle of shimmering gold sugar.

“This collaboration is more than just a delicious partnership – it’s a celebration of Quality Street’s rich British heritage and its place at the heart of Christmas celebrations," said a spokesperson for Nestlé.

Sweet opportunities

This collaboration opens the door to exciting possibilities for other big-brand pairings in the confectionery space.

As consumers continue to crave nostalgic flavours with a modern twist, partnerships between heritage sweet brands and popular food outlets - think Cadbury with Pret, or Haribo with Greggs - could offer fresh ways to reimagine classic treats.
