Mars: Snickers Xtreme and mini Galaxy
Mars will rollout peanut-packed Snickers Xtreme across the US in 2015. The 100 g bars come in a portion-controlled “2 to Go” format. The brand name was chosen after a Facebook vote asked fans to pick from a list of five options: Snickers Xtreme, Snickers Go Nuts, Snickers #MoreNuts, Snickers Nuts Galore, and Snickers Nuts. Meanwhile in the UK, Mars will introduce 23 g countline Galaxy Little Treat from September. The company will be hoping to turnaround declining sales for the brand in the UK, which fell 7.6% last year to £230m ($386m), according to Nielsen data.
