WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT? How do I get people to go from Flamin hot Cheetos to Beanitos?
Finally we asked our panel members what keeps them awake at night...
SHANE EMMETT, Health Warrior: We want to make sure that as we grow, we stay a start-up and retain our sense of mission. My desk here at Heath Warrior is a $20 door at Home Depot and I don't see that changing any time soon.
NIK INGERSOLL,Barnana: Production and sourcing/supply chain issues.
DAVID CZINN & JOSH KAHN, Fruigees: We're really not getting much sleep! You're always worried that you've missed an important email, that you're not on top of everything.
JON SEBASTIANI, KRAVE: The supply side of our business is incredibly stressful and keeps me up at night. The price of turkey was at a 50-year high last year, but I'm trying to build a brand so it's not appropriate for me to fluctuate the retail price up and down in line with commodity prices, so I have to use my own margin as a cushion.
SEAN KELLY, H.U.M.A.N. Healthy Markets: I'd be lying if I said that getting people to move away from traditional snacks [to healthier snacks] is not a great challenge. How do I get people to go from Skittles to Barnana, from Flamin hot Cheetos to Beanitos? There's still a lot of employers and schools that are fearful of taking away the junk that their employees and students have got used to.
