Breaking: KitKat launches new Senses and pushes Ruby variant out across the UK

Nestlé has announced that the Ruby chocolate version of its four finger KitKat will appear in UK retailers nationwide from this month following a successful launch in Tesco supermarket last year.

The unique KitKat is coated with Ruby chocolate, derived from Ruby cocoa beans and produced by Barry Callebaut​. It was the first to trial the new flavor and after a period of exclusivity in Tesco in the UK, KitKat Ruby will now be available in retailers across the UK from today.

Nestlé is also expanding its range of KitKat Senses, another premium variation, a year after its initial launch.

Two new single bars; KitKat Senses Salted Caramel and KitKat Senses Hazelnut will be on sale across the UK also from today.

KitKat Senses singles follows the successful launch of KitKat Senses in February last year, with individually wrapped KitKat chocolates in a box that once popped open, can be turned into a sharing platter ideal for dipping into with friends and family.

Sascha Macchi, KitKat brand manager at Nestlé UK said: “KitKat Senses received an excellent response from fans in 2018 and meant that there was now the perfect, premium option for sharing KitKat on special occasions. With KitKat Senses ideal for sharing, we now want to offer these popular indulgent KitKat flavors as a single bar for an individual treat​.”

Talking about KitKat Ruby, which was launched in Asia a year ago, Macchi, said: “We were totally overwhelmed by the amazing response to the launch of KitKat with Ruby chocolate last year. We are delighted to be able to take this big innovation in confectionery to a wider audience and give more KitKat lovers the chance to discover a different chocolate experience!​”
