United Biscuits appoints ex Birds Eye chief as new CEO

The UK’s leading biscuits firm United Biscuits has appointed Martin Glenn, the former head of Birds Eye, as its new CEO.

Incumbent CEO Benoit Testard will leave the Group on Friday, having joined the firm in 1999 and led the group since 2011.

The changes come soon after United Biscuits split its operations and sold off its KP Snacks business, which includes brands such as McCoy’s, Hula Hoop and KP Nuts, for a sum thought to be around £500m ($767m) to Intersnack in December last year.

Glenn had served as the CEO of Birds Eye Limited since 2006 and was previously head of Pepsico UK and Ireland. He will take up his new role on 6 May this year.
