Organisers have announced that the fifth World Cocoa Conference which was scheduled to take place this year from 23 to 26 May, has been moved to 2022, because of the ongoing global health emergency following the COVID-19 outbreak.

The 2021 conference was due to beheld in Bali, Indonesia, and organisers said new dates and venue for the World Cocoa Conference 2022 will be announced shortly.

Over 1,200 attendees, from 60 countries gathered in Berlin for the 2018 conference bringing together the major players from across the value chain, including government agencies, chocolate manufacturers, trading companies, cocoa processors and service providers.

We must continue to put the health and safety of our attendees and staff above all else and as such, the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) continues to monitor reports from the World Health Organization (WHO),” organisers said in a statement.
