Nestlé says it will remove artificial flavors in confectionery across Europe, but refuses to confirm whether it will implement European price hikes to offset declining confectionery margins.
Chocolate giants Mars, Hershey, Nestle and others have had lawsuits
filed against them in the US, after the companies were investigated
for price fixing last year, according to news reports.
Cadbury, Mars and a number of other leading global confectioners
are under investigation in Canada over allegations of price fixing
in the country, press reports have said.
