A coalition of campaigners fighting to end environmental and human rights abuses in the cocoa sector has targeted coffee chain Starbucks to come clean on where it sources the ingredients for its chocolate products.
Starbucks has promised to use beverage packaging containing 10 per
cent recycled material from 2005, though environmentalists have
criticised the corporation's commitment.
Starbucks Coffee has formed a partnership with a US development
agency and environmental conservationists to help ensure a
sustainable supply of high quality coffee from Latin America.
