Extra gum has launched a new creative advertisement as part of its on-going ‘Give Extra, Get Extra’ campaign to inspire the value of relationships, even through a small gesture, especially during lockdown scenarios caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Debuting nationally, Mars Wrigley’s No. 1 selling gum brand in the US has developed the new creative spot ‘Real Friend Request’ with the creative agency BBDO.

It showcases the interaction between two sisters, ultimately reminding consumers that sometimes the smallest gestures can be the most refreshing.

Through its new creative, Extra is not only inspiring fans to build meaningful connections, but focusing on growing the category by showing consumers they can grab gum to help freshen their breath while at home as one way to keep refreshed​,” said a spokesperson for Mars Wrigley.

The new ad can be viewed across multiple platforms and channels, including television and full episode players such as Hulu, Roku and Amazon Fire TV. You can also check out the :30 video via YouTube​.
