Following our article on the unfortunate incident of Hotel Chocolat’s stolen Chocmobile, it appears there is another gang at large in Europe, also targeting confectionery vehicles.
We received this email from Robert Brunt, founder of Tiger & Bean and maker of chocolate milk drink @chufachoc, who is based in Valencia, Spain:
“I read with great interest your recent article about the missing Chocmobile that belonged to Hotel Chocolat. We, too, have recently had a very distinctive ‘Chocmobile’ vehicle stolen from outside of our factory in Spain. This was really quite strange because it's such a uniquely styled Japanese vintage van from the early the 80's and possibly the only one of its kind in Spain!
“It's was a right-hand drive, bright yellow, Nissan S-Cargo, also known as 'The Snail Van' and, as you can see from the attached photo (taken from our Instagram & Facebook campaign), it's certainly a car that doesn't go unnoticed!
“And so, through our campaign, like Hotel Chocolat, we too are hoping that we will one day be reunited with our beloved van.
“Sounds to me like someone in Europe has a 'thing' for chocmobiles! Possibly just a coincidence but thought I would bring our story to your attention in case it's of interest, particularly in light of the recent theft of Hotel Chocolat's van.”
If any one has seen Tiger and Bean’s vehicle, email Rob on email@example.com. Meanwhile, there is still no news on Hotel Chocolat’s Chocmobile. The company is posting latest updates on its twitter account: #findthechocmobile.
