Hershey to introduce thinner Kit Kats across the United States

Company has announced a ‘slimmed down’ version of its Kit Kat bar in the US with the release of Kit Kat Thins.

In stores at the end of this month, the new Kit Kat Thins have only two light and crispy wafers and are thinner than the standard Kit Kat bar, which has three layers of wafers.

A spokesperson for Hershey said Kit Kat Thins are a great item for on-the-go snacking with their individually wrapped packaging and are available nationwide in 3.4 and 7.2 oz. bags (SRP $2.39 and $3.89).

The move to a thinner version of Kit Kat follows Hershey’s release in 2019 of Reese’s Thins, followed by the introduction in February 2020, of Hershey’s York Thins, which are a 36% thinner option to the original.
